On a summers day, in a shady wood somewhere, near a quiet pond,
a grasshopper asked the frog, sitting on a water lily,

What is love?

a near by swallow chirped in and said:
It is when you feel as though you can keep flying up and up so high in the sky and feel the sun rays on your soul.

the hedgehog said:
It’s when you can roll up somewhere cosy with your partner and feel safe on a miserable day.

the horse said:
It’s when you feel joy seeing your loved one as they are and in how they move.

the frog said:
It’s when you feel happy helping your loved one to grow into the prince or princess they want to be.

the blackbird chirped:
It’s when you feel as though you can sing your heart out every night by setting sun.

the rabbit said:
It’s when you have the energy to run as fast as the wind.

the owl said:
It’s when your loved one is right in a discussion and you accept it without having to be right or have your way.

the duckling said:
It’s when your loved one is wet and dirty and you feel happy seeing them just the way they are.

the swan said:
It’s when your loved one attracts the attention of others and you are not envious.

the pigeon cooing said:
It’s when your loved one flies back after a couple of days away and your heart jumps for joy to see them again.

the beaver said:
It’s when your heart bursts from creativity and you have thousands of ideas on how to build dams in all sorts of sizes and shapes.

the magpie chirped:
It’s when your partner builds a nest and you trust them in what they do.

the dog barked:
It’s to forgive someone when they have hurt you and not to bite back.

the cat meowed:
It’s when you can enjoy receiving something from someone without feeling as though you will have to give it or pay it back.

the sparrow chirped:
It’s when you can give with joy, without thinking if you will get something back or what its worth.

the cock crowed:
It’s when I see the beauty around me and I can crow my heart out.

the lamb said:
It’s when you are more than happy to be with your loved one in their presence.

the squirrel said:
It’s when you feel as though you want to protect your loved one against the long cold winter.

the butterfly said:
It’s when you heart feels joy seeing the sun glittering off your loved one.

the mole said:
It’s when your heart feels as though it is getting ripped apart from your feelings.

the badger said:
It’s when you have to cry when you think of your children.
