What Colish is about

Discovering the why

By Ian | 30 June, 2020

Over the last 7 weeks I have spent nearly all my time working on Colish. First getting the basic framework on line, and in the last couple of weeks fledging out the arguments “why”.

When I first started out on this journey, I just thought it was about a dictionary, now I realise it is really all about children and their growth into adults.

There are undeniable facts that show that one in four adults are classed as illiterate. This is hard to believe and “see”. All my family, friends, colleagues can all read and write. I have come to understand, that if one of them is illiterate, they will hide it ouf of shame. Illiteracy in our society holds you back from good jobs, growth, societal abundance. It is also costs the State billions.

There is a link between illiteracy and the difficulties of learning to read and write English: If it was easier to learn, then their would be less illiteracy.

Colish is about making learning easier, of bringing freedom to the future children and adults of this world.
