A couple of weeks ago I took part in a family constellation. I had the representative role of a husband to the client or “seeker”.
I had already been placed in the field and I felt as though the husband didn’t have much to do with his wife. I was standing near her, but my body was facing a different direction.
The facilitator was doing some healing work with the grandparents of the client at the other end of the room. I was just standing there motionless, not taking any notice of what was going on, my mind was somewhere else, just waiting. However as the facilitator worked on the various topics that came up, I felt my body starting to turn in incremental small steps towards the client. I looked down at my feet, and I was watching my body turn, as though remotely controlled. In the end I was facing the client completely.
Although I have taken part in over a hundred sessions, this was the first time I had experienced the “ripple through” of the “healing” work, through the generations field in this way: Watching the changes in real time.
